About Marc

Me, little Velma, and Tylosaurus, the king of Cretaceous marine lizards

See my website: https://sites.google.com/site/tollisresearch/

I recently received my Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior from the City University of New York, where I also received my MPhil in Biology. I have broad interests in evolutionary biology ranging from paleontology to comparative genomics. My doctoral research primarily focused on genetic variation in the lizard Anolis carolinensis, and the evolution of genome size. This work was completed  in the Boissinot Lab at Queens College.

I recently moved to Tempe, AZ with my family to start my postdoc in the Kusumi Lab in Arizona State University where I am working on Anolis lizard comparative genomics and the genetics of tail regeneration.

I will continue to use this blog to feature research updates and perspectives of a scientist who is a father.
